Haute Velour 2024 Submission

  1. Submissions can take the form of recorded video (link).

  2. Pre-show and competition will be held Sept 6-7, 2024 in Atlanta, GA.

  3. All performers will be expected to participate in the flesh at the physical location.

  4. Only one submission is allowed. LAST DAY TO SUBMIT is June 30th, 2024.

    Submissions should be at least 2:30 mins, but no longer than 4 mins in length.
    SUBMISSIONS MUST BE SENT IN LANDSCAPE. VIDEOS IN PORTRAIT VIEW WILL RECEIVE AN AUTOMATIC DEDUCTION.

    Please be mindful of edits, as there should only be edit adjustments at the beginning in your starting position, and fade outs as you finish your performance.

    Please send unlisted links from spaces link Vimeo or Youtube.

    Private links will NOT be accepted. NO EXCEPTIONS.
    No one (EXCEPT human props) are allowed to be in the frame during your performance. NO EXCEPTIONS.

  5. Videos/Performances cannot be older than FROM April 1, 2024.

  6. If you are selected to participate in HV, please do not recycle songs or performance pieces. Be prepared to create an entirely new experience.

  7. Heels are required in the EXPERIMENTAL & CARNAL (HARD/SOFT) CATEGORIES.

  8. To begin the submission process, please select the primary category you’d like to be considered for.

*Note: If you are submitting to more than one category, you will be able to indicate additional categories for eligibility. We encourage making yourself available for all categories, as sometimes what is submitted increases the likelihood that you are selected.

By applying to compete in Haute Velour, competitors consent to the rules, terms & conditions, drop out and privacy policy. Failure to understand and adhere to these terms can lead to penalization and/or disqualification.

F.A.Q’s

  • Answer: How do you show up on stage in-front of others?

    Ask a friend to read the category descriptions and see where they would place you.

    You can submit to multiple categories.

    Recommendations for category placements will be given by discretion of the review team.

  • No, you only pay one submission. $75 is the submission fee for each applicant (for all categories). If selected as a finalist for the category(ies) applied, performers will have to decide on the one (1) single category they will exhibit in.

    Refer back to the video submission requirements and general rules above for more information.

  • Your application fee + participation fee + round trip travel —ATLANTA + lodging for 2-3 days + meals + costuming & stage presence resources.

    We strongly encourage potential performers to also consider their psychological and physical health as apart of the costs. And whether the time and environment is conducive to their well-being.
