SUBMISSION FOR PERFORMANCE COMPETITORS WILL BE OPEN :

PLEASE TAKE CARE TO REVIEW: CATEGORY INFORMATION, TERMS & CONDITIONS, GENERAL RULES AND SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS (BELOW) BEFORE SUBMITTING.
SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED VIA LINK TO A RECORDED VIDEO,
ONLY ONE SUBMISSION IS ALLOWED. NO EXCEPTIONS.
SUBMISSIONS SHOULD BE LONGER THAN 2 MINS, BUT NO LONGER
THAN 4 MINS IN LENGTH.
PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF EDITS, AS THERE SHOULD ONLY BE EDIT ADJUSTMENTS AT THE BEGINNING IN YOUR STARTING POSITION, AND FADE OUTS ARE ALLOWED (/ENCOURAGED) AS YOU FINISH YOUR PERFORMANCE.
IT IS HIGHLY INCENTIVIZED AND RECOMMENDED TO SUBMIT EARLY!
THE PRODUCTION TEAM ENCOURAGES YOU TO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE, AND TO BRING YOUR A-GAME.

Submission Requirements:
All PERFORMERS must be 18 or over at the time of submission.
Submissions videos cannot be recorded earlier than April 1, 2024.
Competitors will only be allowed in ONE category if accepted in multiple categories. If the submitter is accepted to the competition, the performer can only choose one category. They cannot be in multiple categories. No Exceptions.
Categories are open to solo performances. Currently we are not accepting groups.
Video submission will be the only assessment to gauge competency. Video reviewers will not refer to additional videos, or social media, beyond their submission.
Please make sure that your video is viewable. You can submit an unlisted or public video on Vimeo or Youtube. However, private videos will be immediately disqualified. No exceptions.
Each entry costs $75. This will be payable once you have submitted your application form. This fee covers your entry into the video round. All submissions will receive detailed feedback from expert judges, regardless of whether or not you are selected.
Participants can submit to more than one category.
Submissions due June 30, 2024.
Submissions close at 11:59 EDT June 30, 2024.
Finalist announcements will be made by July 17th.
Show will be in the city of Atlanta Sept 6th -8th, 2024
If you are selected as a finalist an additional participation fee of TBD will be due to complete your total competition entry at a later date.
Selected Finalists must also submit Bios, Hi-Resolution Photos with their final payment.
Videos must be filmed as one continuous piece. Depending on the intention, you can directionally engage with your audience/and have a camera person move around. However, do not edit the video in any way, beyond clipping (SOFT FADE IN’S AND OUTS) at the starting and ending point.
Competitors must be fully visible at all times. We discourage VERY dim or really dark lighting. No one else should be in your performance, unless they are used as a prop (NO EXCEPTIONS).
Non-choreographed movement is available to all categories.

-Embodiment - recommended, not required4-6 successful competitors from each category in the video submissions will be chosen to perform in the live competition.
PARTICIPANTS WHO ARE SELECTED, BUT DROP OUT AFTER AGREEING TO PARTICIPATE WILL INCUR A $150 PENALTY AND WILL FORFEIT SUBMITTING TO ANY HV RELATED EVENTS FOR THE FOLLOWING YEAR. IF YOU ARE SELECTED, PLEASE BE VERY SURE THAT YOU HAVE THE MEANS TO ATTEND.
General Rules (Video Submission & Live Performances)
Performances must be no longer than 4 minutes, but no shorter than 2:30 minutes.
3:30 mins is usually a good marker of time for most performances.
Videos should be recorded in landscape, not portrait, at HD resolution 1920 x 1080.
Competitors will be judged on the same criteria for the category they submitted for. We recommend that if you submit for multiple categories, that your submission & performance fit the requirements of every category.

All competitors are allowed to take articles off during their performances. Partial or full nudity is NOT obligatory/required, but supported.
All forms of consensual touching are allowed, with self & other.
Genital insertion of objects/props/people are NOT allowed.
Any and all physical interaction with spectators or ‘human props’ must be consensual.
‘Human props’ are allowed, however, they may not assist you with any passes (floor, pole), though you can use them as a base of support.
Competitors are not allowed to consult, engage or interact with any of the judges prior to or during the competition. This includes INTERACTIONS VIA SOCIAL MEDIA OR OTHER DIGITAL FORMATS.
Themes & Performers must be respectful to sex work, as well as ANY AND ALL marginalized groups. Please be mindful before choosing a concept. If you are unsure, feel free to contact the producers for more details.
